What is the Northern Lights Tour Reindeer Safari?

Is there a guarantee that we will see the Northern Lights?
Since the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee a 100% sighting, as it depends on weather and solar activity. However, we will do our best to offer you the best experience!
What time does the tour start and how long does it last?
The activity starts at 19:00, the duration is 4 hours. You will be back to Rovaniemi city center at 23:00. Please note that transfer to pick-up/ drop-off location is outside of activity duration time. We recommend reserve 15-30 minutes before and after activity.
Is the sleigh ride guided?
Yes, the sleigh ride is guided by a professional reindeer herder who will lead the way and ensure a smooth and safe experience.
Will there be a warm place to stay during the visit?
Yes, there is a warm traditional Teepee hut with a campfire where you can relax, enjoy a hot drink, and warm up before or after your sleigh ride.
Can I take photos with the reindeer?
Absolutely! You will have plenty of opportunities to take photos and interact with the reindeer during the visit.
How far do we travel from the city for the tour?
We will take you to “Kuoksa Wilderness Park” that is located on our private land away from city lights. The trip takes 30 minutes to reach the activity location. Our land is a perfect place to enjoy beauty of Finnish wildness.
Can children join? Is there an age limit?
The recommended minimum age for participation is 3 years old, as winter conditions can be too harsh for infants. For Northern Lights activities, we highly recommend the Northern Lights in Atmospheric Cottage option, as it provides a warm indoor space for children to stay comfortable.
There are no maximum age limits – everyone is welcome! However, please note that this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users, and certain activities may have health restrictions. For any specific concerns, feel free to contact us.
