Every autumn we get the same message on WhatsApp: “Is there any way to save if we book our winter tours now?” For winter 2026–2027 the answer is yes. We have put one simple code on our website, EARLY27, and this article explains it exactly as we have published it – what it covers, which tours it does not cover, and how it fits together with the rest of your trip.

We are StayLapland, a family company in Rovaniemi. We run our own activities from our Safari House at Postikatu 1, take guests out to our private Kuoksa Wilderness Park, and host people at Postmaster Hotel and Aurora Hill Resort. The code is our way of thanking the people who plan ahead – it helps us plan guides, cars and winter clothing for the season, too.

In short: EARLY27 gives 10% off StayLapland activities for travel dates 1.11.2026–31.3.2027. It excludes husky and reindeer tours and our guaranteed Northern Lights hunting tours. A good example is the Northern Lights Tour At The Campfire – from 99 €, 3 hours, pick-up included within 10 km of Rovaniemi city centre – which the code does cover.

What EARLY27 is, in our own words

On our website the offer reads: “Book Early the Activities for Winter 2026–2027 – Save 10% with code EARLY27”. In the StayLapland Deals section of our front page we add the detail: “Save 10% from the activities with code EARLY27 (Excludes husky, reindeer & guaranteed Northern Lights hunting tours). Travel dates 1.11.2026-31.3.2027.”

So there are three parts to remember:

• The saving: 10% off the activity.
• The travel window: your activity takes place between 1 November 2026 and 31 March 2027.
• The exclusions: husky tours, reindeer tours and our guaranteed Northern Lights hunting tours.

That is the whole offer. There is no minimum number of tours and no membership to sign up for. Our site does not state a separate last day for booking with the code, so the safest assumption is simple: while the banner is on our website, the code is live – and if you are not sure, ask us before you pay.

Which of our tours it covers – and which it does not

EARLY27 is for our activities in Rovaniemi. In practice that means tours such as our Northern Lights evenings at the campfire and in the lakeside cottage, snowmobile safaris, ice fishing, Santa Claus activities and nature and culture tours.

It does not cover:

• Husky tours and reindeer tours.
• The Professional Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunting Tour from Rovaniemi by Bus and the Professional Small Group Northern Lights Hunting Tour from Rovaniemi – Guaranteed.

Some of our combination days include huskies or reindeer alongside other activities. If you are looking at a combo and are unsure whether the code applies, send us a quick message before booking and we will tell you straight away.

The travel dates, and why we ask you to book early

The dates that matter are the dates of the activity itself: 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. A Northern Lights tour in late October, for example, falls outside the window, while one in early November falls inside it.

Booking early matters for another reason too. Each tour has a booking cut-off – for the campfire tour it is 3 hours before the start, for the snowmobile safari 4 hours – but popular evenings in the busy weeks of winter fill long before the cut-off. If a departure is already closed or sold out, or you are booking for a larger group, contact us by WhatsApp or email and we will try to arrange a departure for you.

How to use the code when you book

EARLY27 is meant for bookings made directly with us on staylapland.com. Choose your tour, pick the date in the booking window, and add the code before paying. If you cannot see where to enter it, or it is not accepted for a tour you believe is included, stop there and message us at booking@staylapland.com or on WhatsApp +358 40 128 7846 – we would rather sort it out before payment than after.

A quick worked example: on the Northern Lights Tour At The Campfire, which starts from 99 € per person, 10% is 9.90 € per person. The more people and tours in your booking, the more the code is worth.

A closer look: the Northern Lights Tour At The Campfire

This is the tour most guests ask about when they ask about EARLY27, so here is exactly how it runs. We pick you up from your accommodation – pick-ups and drop-offs are included within a 10 km radius of Rovaniemi city centre – and we dress you in our winter clothing: overalls, boots, gloves and socks in adult and child sizes.

From there it is about a 30-minute drive to Kuoksa Wilderness Park, our family’s private land away from the city lights. You wait for the auroras by the campfire in our teepee with a local snack and a hot drink, while your guide tells you about the Northern Lights. According to the tour page the activity starts at 20:00 and lasts 3 hours, so you are back in the city centre around 23:00; transfer time to and from your pick-up point comes on top of that.

Please remember that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon. We cannot guarantee a sighting on this tour – it depends on the weather and on solar activity – but we choose the place and the evening to give you a real chance. Two more tours guests often pair with it

Wilderness Snowmobile Safari – from 199 €, 5 hours, with about 2 to 2.5 hours of total driving time, a lunch by the open fire, snowmobile, helmet and balaclava, and winter clothing. You need to be 18 or older and hold a driver’s licence to drive a snowmobile; passengers do not. Children shorter than 140 cm ride in the sled pulled by our guide’s snowmobile. Santa Claus Village Tour – from 169 €, 5 hours. Our guide streamlines the village for families, you meet Santa Claus himself, lunch is included, and near the end there may be a chance to meet some animals.

Both fall under EARLY27 as long as the tour date is between 1 November 2026 and 31 March 2027.

The small print that still applies

The code changes the price, not the rules of the tour. The conditions on each product page stay exactly as they are:

• Group minimums: on these tours at least 2 people are required on weekdays and Saturdays, and at least 4 on Sundays and public holidays.
• Children: children under 13 must be accompanied by adults paying the full price.
• Cancellation: the campfire tour and the snowmobile safari have free cancellation up to 24 hours before the activity, with a 100% fee after that. The Santa Claus Village Tour has its own policy: a 15% fee if cancelled 15 days or less before, and the rest becomes non-refundable within 24 hours of the tour.
• Snowmobile liability: the maximum self-liability is 900 €; a 25 € waiver brings it down to 250 €.
• Weather: tours may be cancelled or rescheduled in extreme weather. For snowmobiling the temperature limit is -35 °C, and -25 °C for small children.
• Accessibility: these tours are not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Combining the code with a stay at Postmaster or Aurora Hill

EARLY27 is an activities code. For rooms we say it differently on our site: book directly on our website to always enjoy the best available rates for your stay. Many guests do both – they stay at Postmaster Hotel in the city centre or at Aurora Hill Resort, and use the code on the tours they book with us. Both are on the pick-up list for our tours.

Book with EARLY27 if you already know your travel dates, you want a campfire Northern Lights evening, a snowmobile day or a family day at Santa Claus Village, and you like having the plan settled. Choose another option if your heart is set on huskies or reindeer, or on a guaranteed Northern Lights hunt – those tours are outside the code, but they are still bookable at their normal prices and we are happy to help you fit them in.
