Cancellation policy

Free cancellation 24 hours before the activity. We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the activity.

Important

  • Not recommended for children under the age of 3
  • If you want to operate a snowmobile, a Driver’s License is required. This does not apply to passengers (i.e. Twin drive passengers or passengers in sleighs (e.g. children under 18 years of age))
  • You must be 18 years or older to drive a snowmobile
  • Maximum self-liability with the snowmobile is 900 €. You can buy waiver for 25 € online or on the spot, then the self-liability is 250 €
  • When booking a Twin drive snowmobile (driver + 1 passenger), include 2 participants in your booking per snowmobile
  • If the child is 140 cm or taller, they can be seated on the snowmobile paying the adult’s price
  • If the child is shorter than 140 cm, they must be seated in the sled pulled by the snowmobile, which is driven by our guide
  • Please be ready and wait in your hotel lobby 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time

Is this tour private?

Yes, this tour is only for your group!

What time does the tour start and how long does it last?

The activity starts at 11:00 daily, the duration is 6 hours. Please note that transfer to pick-up/ drop-off location is outside of activity duration time. We recommend reserve 15-30 minutes before and after activity. 

Do I need a driver’s license to participate?

Yes, to drive the snowmobile you have to have a valid driving license.

Do I need prior snowmobile driving experience?

No need to have prior experience driving the snowmobile. Our guides will provide instructions before the tour starts. 

How long and far do we drive on snowmobiles?

The snowmobile ride lasts for approximately 1-1,5 hours, taking you to unforgettable driving into the Arctic wilderness, away from the city, where you can immerse yourself in the stunning natural landscapes of Lapland!

How long does an ice fishing tour typically last?

The ice fishing part during “Ice Fishing with Snowmobiles” typically lasts 2-2,5 with the opportunity to warm up near the campfire with the hot traditional drink. 

What types of fish can I expect to catch during the ice fishing tour?

During the ice fishing tour, you can primarily expect to catch perch, but there’s also a chance of hooking a pike or whitefish, depending on the area and conditions.

Can I take home the fish I catch, or is it catch-and-release?

You can choose to keep the fish you catch and either grill them on-site or take them home with you. If you prefer, you can also release the fish back into the water. The choice is yours!

Can children join the tour as passengers?

Children can join the tour as passengers, but there are some important safety guidelines:

  • Younger children (under 140 cm): They will travel in a sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.
  • Minimum height requirement: Children must be at least 140 cm tall to ride as a passenger on the snowmobile.
Can children join? Is there an age limit?

The recommended minimum age for participation is 3 years old, as winter conditions can be too harsh for infants. 

There are no maximum age limits—everyone is welcome! However, certain activities may have health restrictions. Please check the specific tour details or contact us for more information.

Do you provide warm clothing for this tour?

Yes, we provide warm clothing for all our activities, including overalls, woolen socks, gloves, hats, and warm shoes to ensure your comfort in the Arctic conditions. Our clothes are available in all of the sizes!
